    Syncing Problems with Edge

I use 4 devices Desktop, Laptop, Tablet & Phone.
I log in on all with my MS account, all work fine.

Now the problem is that Edge does not sync properly.
If I add a page to my favourites it will eventually appear on all my devices.
However the other day on my desktop I added some folders and moved some favourites around also deleting a few favourites these changes just never sync.
Is this right or is there a problem with syncing on my devices?

    Many thanks for any advice.

    Any suggestions?

Is there a way to force Edge to do a fresh sync?

As far as I can tell there isn't much you can make Edge/Windows do as far a sync.

As to the original problem mentioned it doesn't look like Microsoft has even bothered/let alone fixed syncing favorites in Edge.

My experience is that syncing of Edge favourites across computers was almost immediate until around the time of the w10 Fall Creators Update. More recently, it still works but can take up to a week or so to sync.

Rebooting, logging out of account, etc. doesn't seem to help. I haven't found anything yet to trigger a sync.

What I've been trying lately was I downloaded this tool, Manage Edge Favorites, and used it to edit what I'm hoping is a complete set of my favorites on one PC and then save an HTML copy to my desktop. I then tried going to each one of 4 PCs, delete the existing favorites and then, using the aforementioned app, import the complete favorite list into each PC. The problem I found with that method was after awhile I started seeing duplicate folders on all 4 of my PCs.

Today I once again edited all my favorites on one PC, saved that file to the desktop and then deleted every favorite off of all my PCs. I then created one folder on each PC (with that PC's network name as the name for the folder) and then imported the complete favorites file on only one PC. So far I haven't even seen the individual folders populate on each of the PCs, let alone the big list.

Today it looks like some kind of "magic" happened overnight, at least 1 PC has all the favorites from all but one PC (my Media PC connected to my TV, I hibernate it when I'm not watching TV so it's been offline all night).

    OK,

Now after two days with all PCs left on overnight all favorites lists are completely populated with the same folders. Unfortunately the lists don't want to remain in alphabetical order (I suspect that folders I recently opened are migrating to the top, but I'm not absolutely sure because some folders I didn't open, but had moved to alphabetical order, are migrating too).

So, for anyone that wants to try and replicate my experiment here's what I did:

    1) Download and install on all PCs this App, or another if you know of one, (if you're trying this on PCs and other devices I'm not sure if the App will work on every thing, you may have to manually work with a tablet or phone): Manage Edge Favorites

    2) Using the aforementioned App, edit, save, and export to your desktop (or a folder you can find again) your complete favorites list.

    3) Once again using the App (or manually if you have to) delete all favorites off every PC and device (you may want to wait a day to make sure they are really all gone, I didn't and it seems to have worked...but no guarantees).

    4) On each PC and device create a favorites folder in Edge using the device's Name. (once again you may want to wait a day to see if each folder appears on every device, also it appears you'll have to leave everything on at least overnight)

    5) On one PC only import your edited list from your desktop or folder location using the App.

    6) Leave all PCs and devices on at least overnight and hopefully you'll have one complete favorite list on every PC and device.

Well, Edge is back to its old tricks. It keeps trying to duplicate favorite folders. Microsoft really needs to fix that piece of garbage.
