Well I play with "Brave" a bit here and found Chrome only all too much like it's Flock counterpart. Have it but still don't use it much if any! I am not a Google fan either sorry!

Secondly FF has seen several variants appear over the last several years with Waterfox being the first 64bit flavor of anything Mozilla in that dept. until the 64bit Flash Player was available. Finally FF 42 out last summer saw the first 64bit FF flavor explaining a good deal of the slump FF has seen. The variants got there first! Cyberfox ahead of FF for the Australian variant also offering a 64bit ahead of the Mozilla original!

The thing that came up with IE over some of these other browsers besides IE 6.0 having been the main reason people went for FF, Opera, Chrome, Flock, Pale Moon, and others was that being the long term Malware gateway browser! Once Vista and 7 appeared with MS finally fixing things stability became a factor besides simply running a faster alternative some report.

The Smart screen and Suggested site features simply were no longer enough when the IE platform was simply becoming outdated faster then it could be updated! Plus MS had to put focus on a newer form of browser that leans more towards the mobile embedded platform as well.

If my math is correct, 30.55% of Windows 10 users are using Edge. Although this is a decline from last month, it would still make Edge the fastest-growing browser since 10 was released last year.

Now consider that most 10 users upgraded, and their preferred browsers upgraded with them. That means that a lot of people are choosing to switch to Edge. Edge is a choice, not a default. Now, throw in the fact that Edge cannot be installed on any version of Windows except 10, and we have a tiny but fast-growing browser here.

On the negative side, the majority of 10 users prefer not to use Edge after they try it. But it is still being improved, and I think we have a down-the-road winner here.

The major cause for Explorer's popularity is that it comes pre-installed with Windows. It works; Why rock the boat? Yet less than half of Windows users prefer it.

Buzzer sounds! Chrome has now passed IE by like lightning namely since anything Google will have Chrome attached in some way. As far as Edge I think you might want to move the decimal point over a bit from 30% to 3% since many are still frowning at times!

Edge is a new form of browser with some interesting enhancements. Simply being new however it still requires a lot of work but should eventually end up on top. Hopefully most of the bugs will be worked out of it by the time the Redstone 1 arrives or soon after for those planning to use it as their main browser.

I've been using it almost exclusively for the last year for everything that doesn't specifically require IE. I like the look and feel of it.

I would note though that if you are on 14328 it seems to have some memory leak problem. I need to close and reopen it every couple of hours no matter what sites I visit. This is not terrible as it is insider build - it works fine on 10586.

This is what happened to me after closing it half an hour ago - see the drop - I was looking at a news site at the time but it doesn't matter - it happens with any site. Close Edge and reclaim in my case ~4GB. It then builds up again over time.

I'm sure it will pass as this is the only build I saw it and you get warned of "Low Memory" when it is time to do so..
