Outlook always asks for a password...

    hi guys,

i know this problem exists for years already, Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013.

I tried everything, like deleting the credential in Credential Manager.

Recreating the user account does not help, tried that, problem comes back.

So this must have another reason.

Have 2 user accounts, only 1 gives the problem.

Microsoft gave me a message that i had problems with my user account and asked to put in the MS password.

    No luck of course.

Getting desperate here...and when consulting the MS site...well i never found a solution for anything in support.

    Any help, much appreciated.

    thanks

    Jeff

If using a MS Account, try the outlook connector.

It really depends... are you talking about Outlook or Outlook.com? Are you talking about Outlook 365 or just standard Office install?

Yes it is different for Outlook 2013. I'm looking, but have not found anything yet.

    Jeff, try this

Using Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013 with Exchange

    1. Go to the control Panel
    2. Click User accounts
    3. Click Manage Windows credentials
    4. Click on the item that has the name Outlook in the title (something like MS.Outlook.15:<Email Address>
    5. Click Edit
    6. Change the password in here to the new Windows domain password
    7. Click Save

    Well Dude,

will do that as soon as the question pops up again.

All of a sudden it was gone and i did not do anything. Now i am on Office 2016 and so far so good.

Changing to Office 2016 was one of the reasons i installed the preview.

    thanks alot

    Jeff

    PS

I am away once again for France, back on Wednesday evening. If someone answers and i do not reply....
