The certificate dates seem ok, except perhaps the Certificate revocation list which is old.

SystemTask as above was last run this p.m.

Current status- I was preparing to run Tweaking.com's repair tool to see if it offered a useful option, having tried a few things unsuccessfully. It's a very cautious tool, and I found SFC /Scannow failed, as did DISM.... so.. currently doing an in-place repair install.

Well, I'll see how that goes.. first time for everything.

You have marked this thread as solved.

    For future reference only.............
If you run into sfc found corrupted files but unable to repair, and dism restorehealth cannot find source file, here is a proven method to fix that.......................

Download Win 10 iso file from Tech Bench. I specify Tech Bench because it gives you Install.wim while MCT gives you Install.esd.
Install.wim is what you need to run dism restore health.

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...load/techbench

    Mount the iso file.
Open elevated command prompt >copy/paste this..........
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:H:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess

    > Enter

Note : H is meant to be the drive letter where your iso is mounted. If your dive letter is different replace H with your actual drive letter.

Hi, thanks- there should have been a brief post.. I wrote one! So.. after the in-place upgrade the certificate errors disappeared, and I can now also confirm that that problem is not present after the most recent update KB 3124200.

Specifically DISM ... returned error 3017 after reaching 20%.
I already had the 10586 iso, so that was a relatively straightforward route.
I have no idea what led to the problem, however.
