    Zooming browser(s)

After what I thought was a Microsoft update that my p c told me was available to install last night, this morning both Edge and Google Chrome browsers will randomly zoom the viewing area of the browsers until they are both maxed at 500% zoom! I take them back to 100% and they again randomly start increasing the zoom. I checked the onscreen keyboard and my Ctrl key is not stuck. I google searched this and others have had this issue, but no one seems to know why or how to permanently fix it.

Does anyone know what is going on?

    Thanks

Ps - I didn’t have a ‘restore’ point before the MS installed last night unfortunately, but I did try the option to ‘rollback latest MS features , etc updates. That did not fix it.

Don't know if it will work for you but my first choice would be going into Device Manager, Display Adapter and Uninstall the drivers then reboot. Don't uninstall any software. If the issue still exists may need to find either newer or slightly older drivers for the adapter.

you think it's a video drive issue?..hmmm....it's odd because no other windows do this...windows explorer windows OK, ...3rd party programs OK....just web browsers....

If it is not a driver issue, check your zoom settings. Update may have affected the cursor.

Settings - Personalization - Themes - Mouse Cursor - Device Settings - Settings - disable pinch zoom
(this works on a laptop, nor sure about desktop)
