    Syd,
I realize it has been a long time since you posted this. Have you gotten Windows Mail (not live mail) to work on Windows 10? I am using it on Windows 7 and the only thing that would keep me from going to Windows 10 is if I could not get Windows Mail to work on 10. I have thousands and thousands of messages in folders and sufolders (I move messages into a new folder when I get too many in the original folder). All end with .eml and that is an added worry - besides preferring Windows Mail, I read somewhere that the mail app for 10 won't read the .eml extension and I can't afford to lose all those messages since I need to be able to refer to them to find information.

Please let me know how it went for you and if you didn't try it yet, can you please post when you do and let me know?

    Thank you a million times!

Sorry for the delay in getting back yo you on this. (Vacation time etc) Just updated my Windows 8 to Windows 10, then did a clean install after formatting the SSD. Windows Mail up and running, no problem at all. So I can still use my contacts, plus contact groups.

The last time that I actually used an email "client" it was when MS still offered Outlook Express. I was quite bummed when they stopped that. I liked OE very much. I think that Gmail works close enough to that which makes me feel comfortable using Gmail for my gmail address as well as collect all my personal pop accounts from around the web

When I need it [rarely] I use SeaMonkey's E-Mail Client.

I use Outlook 2010 64 Bit, because I am used to using Outlook from when I worked and Outlook 2010 works great for me.

I use Windows Mail (Vista). Copied it from a 64 bit machine of mine that's old. You have to delete the existing Windows Mail in program files before copying this over. Works just fine.
