    How to uninstall brave browser

    Hi everyone,
i installed brave browser unsing a windows optimisation script. But it looks like it did something weird. The exe is under AppData/Local and not in program or program x86. Then i cannot find it either in the windows uninstall panel either on revo uninstaller. After that, i search for an uninstall.exe file in the AppData and Program x86 directories, but not to be found either. Finally, i looked on the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Uninstall, but no key or subkey containing the word "brave", and i even looked the content of the {} directories.

So, i would really apreciate if someone could help me, as i really dont know what else to do.

Thanks in advance for your precious help.

    Nico

    Hi,
Are you sure this isn't a portable version of the browser?
    Portapps - Brave™ portable

    2 options. Possibly 3.

    1. Use an appropriate System Restore point.

    2. Use the Forced Uninstall option in Revo (other such tools have similar options).
Then browse to e.g. a folder or exe of the program and let the uninstaller run a scan.

Note that this may or may not detect all parts of the program. Hopefully it will as it should still be intact.

    3. Look here if you haven't already tried that:

Oh, thanks dalchina. I haven't thought of that one.

That makes sense. Because on my other computers the .exe is under Programfiles. Under Appdata is only "User Data" folder to be found.

I ran the revo forced uninstall. It removed some stuff (files and registery keys) but they are still some left. I'll check manually tomorrow. Can i delete (registry and file explorer) all elements related to "brave" ?

    Cheers

If it is the portable version you should be able to just delete its folder.

As for Revo's results- you need to review and check, more particularly with a Forced Uninstall, just in case.
