Wish I knew the answer that would help you, but I can't think of what is causing your issue. Unless something on your computer is affecting how FF runs??? What it would be I don't know. Does sound like something is thou.

Might be a good idea, but, I would make a Complete image backup 1st !!! For your own insurance, incase something happens.
Of course I always use Macrium Reflect Free as it works real well for me. Good Luck goatty2 !!!!

Mike, this is what I posted about in that useless thread, that Microsoft site is an https:// site.

even tried it in safe mode and still not work
also uninstalled it and cleared everything mozilla firefox off computer rebooted then reinstalled it
    no change
Same here, goatty. Although I didn't go that far, I made Edge my default and it worked, then went back to FF as default and it wouldn't work. Now to find some other https:// sites to check things out more thoroughly, because in the normal course of events, I get to other sites without issue.

All I know is when you couldn't access the MS download site just a little while ago, with your FF, I could, I can also get there with Chrome, and IE11. I do Not EVER use Edge.

    I don't think it's your programs, goatty. I think it's FF.

Check if you have ANY Tracking Protection addon's installed in your FF , if you do, then that could be your problem. Need either to remove those addon's or Add the MS sites to its list.
