Taskbar middle-click not working for Firefox

    Hello everyone,

I upgraded to Windows 10 a little while ago, and while it has mostly been smooth sailing I have encountered a small glitch.

Middle-clicking on things in the taskbar normally opens a new instance on the corresponding application. This feature works perfectly for everything but Firefox.

I am not sure if it is a setting within Firefox or Windows that is blocking this behavior, or if it is a bug. I would appreciate any advice/help that you can give me. Thank you!

    Regards,
    Mark

PS: I have discovered two workarounds.
    1) Open a new Firefox window using the shortcut in the Start Screen.
    2) Drag a tab away to create a new window.

Sorry if this has been solved elsewhere...

Hi, can confirm middle click works as you describe for Pale Moon (Firefox derivative- same add-ons etc).

Thank you dalchina for your response. Is there really no one on this forum who can offer intelligent input?

Is this thread in the wrong place?
Do you not understand the issue at hand?
    Is there a work around?
    Should I uninstall and reinstall?
And many other questions that could be asked for an issue like this...

Seriously...no one on this forum has anything to say?

Hello, sorry you still have the problem. This is a general Windows 10 forum- you might be better off asking in the Firefox forum. Noted you've posted this question in numerous places, suggesting it is not a common issue.

Please try typing 'about:config' in the address bar
    Then check these settings:

Otherwise, you might want to try a clean boot, for example, to make sure sthg else isn't using middle click as a default.
