Copy / Paste from Edge Address Bar Question

If I right click in the address bar, I don't have the option of "copy" in the drop down menu. I must select "select all", right click again and select "copy". I can then paste to a new tab or other destination. Is this the norm for Explorer / Edge or is there something else I'm confused with? Thanks.

It works in Edge exactly as it works in other browsers (possible exception: never used FF, don't know about that): you click on address bar, the URL is automatically selected and you can copy it. If you unselect the URL and right click, you cannot copy it.

Edge when URL is selected, Copy & Cut enabled:

Edge when URL is not selected, Copy & Cut disabled, not shown:

IE when URL is selected, Copy & Cut enabled:

If I right click the address bar (Edge), I get Paste, Undo, Select All. With the url still selected and I again right click, I get all the options. The initial right click gives only Paste, Undo, Select All. Chrome gives all the options with initial right click. I just tried Explorer and it's normal. No other browsers to try.

That's true. You need to left click the address bar in Edge, then right click.

That's goofy but I do appreciate your help and confirming it's a feature and not an error of sorts. Wonder why they chose that route, unlike the single click method found in other browsers to include Explorer? Thank you.

Now all I get on an initial right click in the address bar is "Undo/Select All". Chrome and Explorer are still normal.
