    can not access web sites

My computer was running fine yesterday. I turned on the computer this morning and tried to access a web site and all I got was a screen stating This site can't be reached > The connection was reset. > Try checking the connection ; checking the proxy and the firewall or running windows network diagnostics and at the bottom it says ERR_CONNECTION_RESET.
It does not matter what website I go to that is the same screen I get.
All was working just fine last night so I am not sure what the issue is or how to fix it.
I am connected to the internet so that is not the issue.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I am running windows 10 Home
    version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.3324)
    Thank You

Are you using wireless internet connection? Try disconnecting and reconnecting to your router.

If that doesn't work, try unplugging your cable modem from the power plug, and reconnecting it again.

If that doesn't work, maybe your internet service provider is having some sort of issue. You can try connecting later.

Also, see if your phone can connect to the router.

Do you have any other device that uses the same router? Another PC? Smart phone? TV or TV-related device?
    If so, is that working?

How is your PC connected to the internet?
How have you confirmed there is an internet connection to your PC?
    E.g. tray icon...

What happens if you try using a different browser?

    Try
How to Fix the ERR_CONNECTION_RESET Error in 7 Ways.

Perhaps a DNS problem.. get DNSjumper (free).
Run that- it scans possible DNS's and allows you to choose the fastest working one.

I will try those things as soon as my computer is done running scans to check for malware and such. Thought that it couldn't hurt since it has been a couple days since I ran those scans anyway.

I am not sure how to try and connect my phone to the router (we only have a cell phone).

I am connected to the internet right now - same router and modem as my main computer with no issues at all.
I am connected to the internet via a wireless connection on both this little laptop and my main computer.
The icon at the bottom shows that I am connected and I have a good signal.
I have tried the chrome, firefox and edge browser with the same results. I have checked to make sure the browsers are up to date as well.

I will check that link and that DNS jumper as well as soon as I can - decided to run scans to check for malware and spyware since it has been a couple days since I ran them anyway so as soon as that is done, I will try that dns jumper. Will have to download from this computer and move it over to the other computer with a flashdrive - but that isn't a problem.

    Thanks

I am assuming your laptop is the one with the issues.
I think resetting your cable modem (unplug from power, wait 10 seconds, reconnect to power) may solve the issue.

The laptop is what I am currently one since my desktop is the one with the issues.
I just ran a whole bunch of scans and nothing was found. Still restarted the computer and oddly enough the issue is gone.
    Very Strange.
But I am going to reset both the cable modem and router as well as look into that information that was given on how to fix err connection reset
How to Fix the ERR_CONNECTION_RESET Error in 7 Ways

and that dns thing in case this happens again.

Thanks so Very Much to Everyone for the assistance!

Good. The DNSjumper tool is quite neat- lets you find the fastest.

By Sordum tools- have a look at their website- neat small free quality utilities.
