It's in the posted article, you find Edge's program folder and as Administrator, run the uninstall command.
Now to block Edge from installing on a clean PC is a more difficult problem, since it needs to be removed from the Windows ISO image using 3rd-party tools. There are programs which do this, but this activity isn't sanctioned by MS and most mainstream sites (like TenForums) prefer you not to discuss those topics.
With a little searching, you can find the exact answers and other modding forums which support this task.
@garlin, thank you. If you mean the CMD script to force the uninstall, that doesn't work for me. It will run an uninstall but Edge doesn't go anywhere, unfortunately. Removing it from the image is quite easy, I've already done that. I just don’t want to have to do a clean install just to remove it from a laptop with a load of stuff on it.

Thanks, @teckneeculler. Blimey, that is quite the process. I just hope one day the malware scanners will detect Edge as they should and remove it properly and block it for us. MSMG for me again then, I suppose. Oh well. I just hope MS have their day in court about this, sadly, I doubt it. Cheers.
TidySean: You're welcome. I was very impressed with that video, both for content and the guy's delivery. I'm currently trying to create the 'perfect' W10 Enterprise 22H2 and I'll incorporate all his fixes.
Yesterday I helped a neighbor install a musical composition program. His 2 year old laptop is also running W10 Enterprise 22H2. Interestingly, Edge seems to have been completely eradicated from the system's workings, though there are still Edge files to be found. He didn't know its history, having bought it at an auction, but it seems to be running perfectly well.
I use IE11 to open some offline car config files when working with Main Dealer manufacturer diagnostics tools - its fast and efficient...
As I see it its GCHQ hackers wanting backdoors to reduce your security and google spyware that needs to install 1.2gig of junkware each time we open a browser that's the main reason THEY want us to not use IE11 !!!
I had just found the post here that said open
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\11x.0.xxx\BHO and rename the two browser helper objects, so IE11 opens and works properly - but as of 10 Oct 2023 Microsoft just properly vandalised IE11.exe installing a faulty version
now renaming the BHO objects doesn't help
alongside a new install of IE11 we get IESims.dll install during the last patch tuesday's fun - any ideas?
FYI all the other bits I found (but not the actual BHO post ??)
these I guess outdated?
Enable or Disable Enterprise Mode for Internet Explorer 11
Enable or Disable Reload in Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge
other posts wanting the same
Internet explorer will not open
Note that at least 1 method of uninstalling Edge leaves some things behind and can cause certain updates to fail, error 0x800f0922. This results in people posting here asking for free help.
E.g. KB5031356 and some a long time ago.
I always wonder what users see happen when they click on links on the lock screen, or News and Interests - which are hard coded to use Edge- after Edge is removed.
