For me I use Chrome about 99% of the time. It seems faster and more responsive than IE, those are just my observations. And this was a change for me. I had been using IE for sometime for the same reasons above but there was a update to Chrome, don't know what version that just seemed to blow IE away. I haven't looked back yet.
I am very interested in the new browser Spartan in Win 10. It sounds like it will be more light weight so I'm curious how it will perform.
I'm using Chrome, allthough it is giving me a problem. Chrome says this:
Updates are disabled by the administrator
I can't figure out how to let it update again, so for now I have to uninstall Chrome, download the installer and install it again .
I look forward to see and try Spartan.
I don't use IE very often and I kept V 10 on it because I can condense the tool bars. Don't use it enough to judge it. I love FF and the ad ons, WOT, Ghostery, Adblock plus and the easy list and DuckDuckGo for searching. The only problem I have had with FF is updating when I have it set to never. It's always been fast and stable for me.
Started using IE in Build 9926 and was pretty impressed but something's not right with it, don't know what it is but it goes haywire every time.
Back to FF.
I like so many others, abandoned I.E. years ago, because it was just UN-Safe and still is.
Many of us had to use Netscape just to get to some of our favorite sites, like Yahoo Groups.
When FF first came out in Beta, based on the Netscape engine, I tried it and liked it. On day one, when ver 1.0 was first released, over 1 Million users downloaded the program. I was just one.
There is a whole page of tweaks to FF that improve its speed and efficiency. Many of them have already been made a part of the program.
I did give up Google.com as my search engine, after they admitted that they were going to keep all our browsing info for their own use, like in Google Ads. What else will they do with it? Who knows?
So I did some research for a SAFE Search Engine and settled on " ixQuick.com". It works as good as Google, but it's SAFE.
I share it with all my friends and customers who want to search SAFE.
Cheers mates!

I don't like google either. I use ghostery to stop their ad cookies and now that I am using duckduckgo for a search engine I am stopping the google-com cookie in options.
