Sorry to hear of your Hotmail grief, I've been there before. I know this has happened to me several times over the years and repeating the same process repeatedly is rarely successful. I'd be searching for a different method.

Have you dared to attempt resetting the password via the url using the Samsung phone itself?

Reset your password

Until you've got this sorted, important emails can always be forwarded elsewhere from the Samsung phone. You may want to change your vax passport email address before any further attempts to recover.

I've used the above url to attempt to learn, however; I must admit some fear of following the process too far and pooching my access to Hotmail.

I followed it to where I can enter a new email address for the unlock details, by clicking 'I don't have any of these'. I don't see how that can help nor can I advise you simply repeat what you've already tried.

@W10 Tweaker thanks for the reply. I had to wait for 24 hrs before trying again and just finished with success!!
I used another different email account to retrieve the code and this time for some weird reason I was able to change her password. I don't know why it did not work yesterday when I entered my email and 2 others as a alternate. I got the code each time but it kept going to the recovery page and then say that the info was not correct. Even though I typed all the correct info from her notebook she kept all usernames and password info. Today I used her gmail as the alternate again and it came back with a code and then it went straight to the enter new password. So really I am no further ahead as to why it happened and how come it decided to accept her gmail today lol. I am stress free for another while I guess.

Thank you all for all the replies. I am sorry I can't give a better detailed description as to how her email got fixed because I am still baffled. I will select "solved" for now.

Thanks. When wife gets stressed out, and if I can't fix the problem quickly I get stressed out lol. She thinks I can fix every computer problem she encounters. Heck I tried so many things yesterday I had to give up and take a headache pill

Thank goodness for this forum. My morning routine is a coffee and read Win10 and Win11 forum to see what is new :)
