wife can't log into her hotmail

Yesterday my wife was setting up her logins on the computer I setup for her. She had no problems logging into her facebook accounts and other places but when she went to log into her hotmail.com account it came back with the user password is wrong. I got out her paper notebook and found the password and tried the same one which is the only password she uses. Failed again. I went through all the procedures of retrieving her account and sent the code to my email account. I tried the code and followed all the instructions for that and answered all the questions. Then microsoft sent another email to my account saying that they cannot retrieve the account. But here is the weird thing that is happening; She is logged into her hotmail account on her Samsung android cell phone and can send and receive email from her same account. If she attempted to retrieve her email on her cell , would that not come back and say not logged in or the password is incorrect? She never changed her password in years so it got to be a bug or something. Now she has to wait another 24hrs before attempting to log in again.
Is there a MS website where I can get a message to them requesting for them to look into this matter? Every time I go on the MS support website I am always directed to the same option to reset/retrieve password. Maybe I am getting overwhelmed with all this searching and running around in a circle. Greatly appreciate any help to contact MS support.

Thanks for the reply Paul. I will try them links to see if they look familiar. Yes it is weird. I asked her not to log out on her phone just in case she can't log back in again. The reason I am worried about htis is because we have out covid19 passports linked to her account and other important places. I sure hope something don't go weird on her phone like it is doing on the web browser on the desktop.

Yes I have tried both of them and I can't get anywhere with those options.
When I do the recovery option it now says I have to wait 24hrs before trying again. What is the point in trying again if I only enter all the same info to retrieve the account and MS replies to my email address that the info we entered for my wife's account is not enough. So I am lost as to how to reset the password on her hotmail account.

Sure will if I ever get this resolved.

Oh thank you very much. I have to wait until 2pm my time tomorrow to attempt the procedure again lol. But I will be searching in the meantime.
