Chrome says "Your connection is not private"

I have been getting this message on my Chrome browser since last 7 days. Whenever I search anything on Google, I get the message " Your connection is not private". I am using Lenovo Laptop G 50 70, OS is Windows 10.
I have tried many options to solve it but I continue to get this error. I have tried the following:-. 1. Cleared Browser History, Cache etc 2. Run Starfish Removal Tool. 3. Turnoff Anti virus (Windows Defender) 4. Reset Chrome Settings to default. 5. Checked Default Ads parameter on Chrome 6 Run Chrome Malware tool. 7 Tried Incognito Mode. 8. Checked Add Remove Programs for recent applications. 9. Cleared SSL Code. 10 Disabled Extensions on Chrome.

But none of my above efforts solved my problem.
Whenever I use Edge Browser, I do not get such message, Everything works fine.
Please help me solve my problem on Chrome browser.

Hi, you could start by trying to understand why you might be getting this by reading through:
How to Fix “Your Connection is Not Private” Error - Panda Security

rather than trying randomly to 'fix' what is meant to be an informative warning message.

    In particular for Chrome see:
Fix connection errors - Google Chrome Help

    starting from the section
Chrome says "Your connection is not private"-1.jpg

Chrome says "Your Connection is not private"

Thanks for your reply and the Panda Link. I had gone through the link thoroughly and there is nothing new in it. These type of information is abundant on Google. I have carried out all sorts of suggestions provided by the Panda Link. My error on the page is
" NET ERR CERT COMMON NAME_INVALID"

I have uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled but the problem persists.
It is strange that the same link or search opens in Edge Browser.
If I type "YouTube" on Google Search, the result does not appear, instead it shows me the above error but if I type "youtube.com", i get the YouTube page opened. My problem is I cannot use Google Search. Any querry on Google Search takes me to the error.
Hope you can add more help.
    Thanks in advance

Hi, can't add anything from experience or special knowledge- hopefully someone can.
I can confirm that if I use Chrome, search for youtube (using Google in Chrome) I have no issues.

CERT COMMON NAME INVALID doesn't mean what you think it does
seems to offer some discussion on this, but it's only really that. You might well find more.

As this seems specific to Chrome, you might get more specific help on a Chrome forum.

Out of curiosity, if you create a new user for test purposes and log in as that user, do you see the same thing?

Thanks Mr Dalchina for quick response. I have an administrator account as well and the problem is same in that account as well.
Sometime I think to re-install Windows 10 but it is time consuming, and re-install all other applications which is really a lot of work.
Re-installation of Windows 10 may or may not work, not sure.
I am not finding any problem on Edge.

Creating a new user now is different to using an existing account.

If you find the same on all accounts it seems strange it would affect only one browser.
Normally should a problem be common to all accounts including a new one I might suggest, if there's no other option, an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data.

However this seems very specific, so perhaps there is a simpler option.

I will create another account and report.

Mr Dalchina, created another local user account on my laptop and tried using Chrome. Same results here as well - "Your connection is not private"

Thanks. That does leave you with the option of an in-place upgrade repair install, it you wished to do that.
For that you need an iso file of the same major build as you have now. You chose not to respond to the forum prompt for your build number; all builds a freely downloadable- tenforums tutorials available.

Otherewise you could wait & see if anyone else has ideas, or you could try a Chrome forum.

My Windows 10 build is 19043 1237. I searched Google further for any other solutions and I found one with a YouTube Video, in which there were various options to carry out to solve this problem. I first tried the option 1, which did not yield any result. It was a CMD DOS command- to reset IP reset, Winsock reset, and flush DNS.
In Option 2 - Control Panel - Network & Internet- Network Sharing - Change Adaptor -Properties of IP -4 to following DNS:
Preferred 1.1.1.1 and Secondary to 1.0.0.1 - Ok - restart computer.
This 2nd option solved my problem and now I can search Google with ease. No issues any more.
The link to the video file on YouTube is: How to Fix Your Connection Is Not Private on Windows 10/8/7 - [2021] - Bing video
Hope others will also get benefitted from my experience.
By the way, I just want to know from your experience, - did I do anything wrong by changing the DNS setting as suggested in the video. Will that be secure for me.? You can treat me a little better than a novice.
    Please remove my doubts.
    Thanks.

Good to know you found a way forward. I've no idea why that would affect Chrome exclusively though.

Changing DNS is something you're free to do of course. DNSjumper (free) is a neat tool for that- lets you find the fastest.
