How do I start, and use, Event Viewer and Windows Relaibility Monitor? (I don't know what either of those things are. And my Windows is in Swedish, so they are probably named something else - which might make it hard for me to find.)

I also don't know what Chrome Canary is, or what it does. :P

Chrome Canary is a version for developers. Only benefit would be to possibly see if your system has a problem with Chrome.

     Reliability History

Check the Reliability History for entries covering the problem times . . .

    Thank you both. :)
I have managed to start the Reliability Viewer, and I see two red circles wih X in them - which leads me to believe that it has something to do with my issue.

I also managed to create an XML-file from the Reliability Viewer -history. But I don't know what to do with it. I'm guessing that the Browsers and Email -forum is the wrong place to write and ask about it.
It also happens to be in Swedish, so I'm not sure how much help it will be to someone who doesn't understand Swedish.

I am attaching a screenshot from the Reliability Viewer.
Judging by the red circle with the X (critical events), I'd say it's about the time when I started noticing Google Chrome being slow to start. So it seems likely that it is related.

There's a bunch of stuff here. There are categories of how grave the event was: critical, error, warning, information, sucessful audit*, failed audit*
(*audit, examination, scrutiny - not sure which word translates best)

Under "critical" there is 0 events the last 7 days.
Under "error" there is 24 events the last 7 days.
Under "warning" there is 269 events the last 7 days.

I found an event with the source: dwminit under warning, with the event id 0.
See the attached image for more information.

On the first image we see a time line of events.
The first event is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark (warning). The warning says: "an error occurred when trying to update Microsoft Defender Antivirus with Windows Update."

The second and the third event (they are both the same, only at different times) shown is the red circle with the X (critical).
    The critical says:
    Source: dwm.exe
    Summary: Doesn't work

If I click on the "show technical information" link for the critical events, the second image is displayed, which says:
"An error occurred in the program named dwm.exe, version: 10.0.19041.746",
"the error occurred in the module named: ism.dll, version: 10.0.19041.928",
    "exception code: 0xc0000409"
    "error displacement: 0x000000000004320b"

You may want to do some research on the dwm entry.

But again, though slower than your other browsers, a 5 sec delay is not that bad. Perhaps with future Chrome updates it will improve even more. Good Luck !

Could you guide me in the right direction on where to get help with the dwm problem? Any part of this forum that is the correct place to ask for help?

    Thank you. :)

Have you tried Uninstalling Google and then Reinstalling it. This method has had reasonable success for other members.

    I hope this helps.

No other place on forum. Over 1K views of your thread.

Don't know of any particular place to learn more about dwm. Just google. Also, make a post in the Chrome Forum.

But with all due respect, your issue does not seem to be that severe.
