edge on Mac os Big Sur

Hi all i have Edge on Mac os Big Sur and it has not been auto updating, i noticed today in my full disk access area on mac os under security& Privacy that com.microsoft.autoupdate.helper is not checked and allowed full disk access. Should this be checked i also noticed that microsoft auto updater has been crashing and this may be why i'm thinking should i enable this full disk access?.

Give it some time. You ask a question, and instantly want a reply? Let people have time to even get to the forums. It's not like we all get an emergency notification when you post.

no i asked this more then a day ago i only replied back to my own post, but is not a big deal and i can see the confusion as i just updated the same post instead of creating a rather long forum post.

Most times cross-platform programs don't have many problems, examples are LibreOffice and VideoLAN on Windows, Macintosh and Linux. However, Edge does interact more with Windows than other browsers such as Firefox, SeaMonkey, Opera, etc., but Macintosh has tighter controls with approved programs so I'd go with all the default settings activated.
