Does Event Viewer list an an error code that can be researched ?

May want to run sfc/scannow and/or do a System Restore.

Type wsreset in either File Explorers address bar, Run dialog or Command Prompt and Store will open up with a CMD box(store reset) it takes a couple of minutes and the CMD will close, then check for update in the store. After that try running Edge again.

I've had Windows 10 for about a week and everything was perfectly fine until today when, for unknown reasons, EDGE started crashing immediately when I ran it. I'm pc-literate but only up to a point. I looked at Event Viewer and saw the EDGE crash listed there, but I am not knowledgeable enough to be able to understand what Event Viewer is telling me about the crash. What is " sfc/scannow " ? Thank You.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker - Windows 7 Help Forums

Use option 2. Right click the Windows icon in lower left corner and click Command Prompt.

Event Viewer should list an error code. Copy the code and google it for info. Not always helpful, but may.

I'vee got the same problem but I think it's a windows bug because I red it somewhere (plus i reinstall windows few times and always got that bug) - immediately after fresh install everything is fine but after few updates it closes down.....When I open it same second it closes down......
