Firefox keeps on deleting my cookies and crashing...

Oh what to do what to do... Poor Firefox keeps on deleting my poor cookies (and me, afterwards correcting EVERYTHING!) and crashing. I have no idea what's going on and I checked the logs but there was nothing useful to be found.

So what can be the matter? Now I'm using another browser to check if FF really is the source of my troubles and well... maybe a total cleanup of my poor PC will do...

Using Windows 10 and I use FF 72.0.2...

I refreshed it alright, straight to the virtual BIN! It crashed again but in other browsers the cookies remained alive! (so not wiped at all!)

Soooooo........... Back to Chrome it is! That fox has been extinguished!

Cookie deletion in FF is an option setting. I have v72.0.2 and it doesn't crash, ever. And it's set to delete cookies at close, which I think is the default. We also run CCleaner after each browsing session which deletes all temporary files from all browsers. Now I'm sure we don't visit the same web sites you do, but we have found that deleting all browser temporary files has a positive effect on malware from third party cookies and third party pixel elements. Does FF crash on the same web sites or is it completely random?

You're not experiencing a common issue. So your victory lap is simply not fixing an issue. I hope your PC doesn't end up in trash at your next unresolved bug.

It was completely random. And one other (unrelated!) thing, one time my PC booted TWICE! Was just a one time event but it could happen again?! My PC was doing strange things with FF.... (Checked for viruses, there were none.)

Check your set up, because with NoScript, AdBlock Plus/UBlock and other extensions, Firefox is the only one I trust to keep me secure and let me have my tabs on the bottom, under the address bar where they belong [using the.css scripts].
I only use Chrome for YouTube. You may have it set to do that. Check and delete any temporary files/cookies as was suggested before.
