I'm having the same issue and the same error codes in the Event Log. Were you able to find a solution?

    Thanks!

Nope, still no solution as yet. I think I'll post the full XML error message log, so if you could do the same maybe there might be something in common which the experts here might notice?

    Do you use EMET?

It is incompatible with IE11 unless you turn off EAF and results in the exact same error.

Other than that you could try to un-install and re-install IE11 in Windows Features

I don't think I have EMET installed, unless an automated Windows update added it. I can't see in in the programs list anyway.

I have already tried turning IE off and back on within the Windows Features list (with reboots between) but although it's present in the programs list it fails to run. Tried the 32 and 64 bit exes directly too.

OK, I've uninstalled Trusteer Rapport (banking security service for websites) and Freemake Video Converter, both of which were showing errors in the system events during system boot in case either of those were the culprits, but that did not help.

Here are the System Event logs:

    Hi
Did you get this fixed? I've tried removing it and adding it back to windows features, and resetting it - not worked so far.
Same as you, I need it for work applications.

No, still not got it working.

This is one factor that is preventing me from upgrading my other PCs at the moment, as until I know I have IE available on at least one machine (doesn't really matter which one) I can't risk it.

When I upgraded to windows 10 both Edge and IE11 showed up in Task Bar.
I don't like IE11 so removed it doing it the way you did, and it was gone.
Done same to my friends but he decided he wanted it back so did the reverse and re ticked the box for IE11 and it reloaded and came back for him.
But no icon showed until he went into more action, left click that and IE 11 is there, if you click Open With Internet Explorer you should find it works.

Click on it and the icon will appear in taskbar and IE11 loads and works ok

No, the problem is that I know where to find the icon (or just to run iexplore.exe directly) but it fails to start up properly, as per the logs above. Removing and reinstalling it via the Windows Features menu does not help.

Edge looks pretty enough, but is far too feature-light for me for daily use (and I also have some specific legacy device control HTML pages which need IE to run correctly).
