Sites on this list will be provided with an overridden user agent string when visited in Microsoft Edge. This list is updated to address compatibility issues that arise from the fact that Microsoft Edge has a unique token in its user agent string to differentiate it from other web browsers.

My Edge starts up normally. You might want to turn off Continue running background apps when Microsoft Edge is closed in settings - system.

I have that always off in both Edge & Chrome, as I do not create any so called browser apps, I find them useless, and use my bookmarks
But thanks anyhow for the advice

My sync is disabled.

Stick in there, it's still under heavy development. And it is canary after all.
