IIRC - the "Settings" item shown within "Sync" initially appeared as active in build 169 (it was not active prior to that). Build 169 was issued Friday (5/24/2019). One can reasonably infer from this that MS is "currently" actually doing some development work specifically in the Sync and Settings area. Hopefully, this would imply that we will see some further improvement in the Sync capabilities perhaps in the coming week...at least one can hope so...
According to a direct email to me from Feedback issued many times, Favorite/Bookmark SYNC should be working without too many issues (their words)....SYNC of other Settings and Passwords, Extensions, History, Addresses etc, that is another issue and has not been activated....except for 'Settings' toggle on last Friday Canary build and I cant work out what Settings it is meant to sync with or its purpose. :)
Any way to stop the annoying banner saying that flash will be dropped in December 2020 from displaying EVERY time I start the browser?
I mean alright already.....I get it lol. Hadn't seen it discussed in this thread. Was wondering if it was just happening to me.
peace thx

So, it seems it only does this when I am logged into my profile. Signing out makes it stop.

Yes setting the Flash to Off stopped that annoying Flash Banner advice at every Edge Browser start up..
Anyway on my SYNC crusade for Favorites/Bookmarks (well it is for me)...
For those interested, I now have 6 Devices running perfectly with just under 4,000 Favs/Bookmarks each across all of them on the same Hotmail Account., obviously must have all the basics on (Sync blue on toggles).
What I did find with some of my older/slower PC's (in particular), all running same OS, W10 Pro 18898 Insider with latest Canary build....was the SYNCING of Favorites would not occur AFTER Cold Boot and leaving PC to 'settle' for some time,
I tried the 'refreshing" of them in ''Favs Manager'' and nothing would update.
What did force the updates was to either add a (one) new Favorite anywhere or just do a slight change to the Name/Title of any one Favorite.... Then straight away all Favs on that device were instantly updated, meaning olds Favs removed and new Favs added in correct location/Folder.
Once Synced I could then ADD new and Delete old Favorites and would instantly Sync/Update across all 6 Devices.
Anyway, I know no big one, but for me it is.
But yeah just in passing this Edge Chrome will be a GREAT Browser, definitely faster than Google, Firefox, IEx, Edge, Opera. I just hope MS does not break it with an overload of crap nobody uses.
Well MSFT broke YouTube for me with this last update
It shows the old version and doesn't let me go to the new version:
How it looks now on Edge Canary:
How it should look:#
Even Creator Studio and my Dashboard has reverted to the ooooold version in Edge Canary.
Everything is as it should be in Chrome ans Classic Edge and IE11 though, so it was this last update that broke something.
