    Using Windows 10 Mail.

Back in December I started a thread on this very subject and, as of today I still haven't managed to sort out the problem that I have.

I have my @gmail account linked to the Windows mail programme but, when I send an email, nothing ever appears in the 'sent' folder. I did get one reply back in December and that was to ensure that the 'sent' label was set to 'show' which it is.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how to resolve this matter please?

    Many thanks.

Sorry mate, AFAIK the Sent Items folder appears to only receive messages from Microsoft mail accounts, not any IMAP or POP accounts. The only folder that appears to be linkable across accounts is (wait for it) … called "Linked Inbox".

However, you should be able to view any of your Gmail folders by selecting More and selecting the desired folder as a Favorite.

It should work as I said back in December. I use the Windows 10 Mail App with Gmail and no problem. It also shows in the All Mail folder.
All I can say is keep the Mail App updated, which at least weekly, and go to the Gmail settings.
In Gmail settings, Sent folder > Show. Tick box for show in IMAP.
    Under Forwarding and POP/IMAP
POP download 1. Off for all 3(not selected).
    IMAP access > enable IMAP

    Other measures:
    1) Delete the Gmail Account from the Mail App, set it up again.
    2) Uninstall from Apps & features, and install again from MS Store.
    3) Reset (advanced options link).

Have you tried manually syncing the sent items folder?
I’ve found this is sometimes needed for some accounts.

    Hi there
OK not an answer to your post but why not change your email client -- Thunderbird is a good free one which should work eaily with gmail type accounts.

    Cheers

Thank you folks. Yes I have tried syncing but without any joy. The thought of using Thunderbird has crossed my mind. I think that I will give it a go. thanks again.
