Mail app for windows 10 not working

I upgraded my laptop from windows 8.1 to windows 10. I went to the mail app to add my gmail accounts and was successful. I went to sync all my emails, and here is where it gets weird. It synced all my folders, but none of the messages synced. I went to options and selected: download new email as new items arrive, and download email from any time, but it didn't work. I then sent a test email from the mail app to myself, and the message never appeared in my inbox on the mail app, but i received the email on on my phone/laptop browser. Anyone know what is going on? I wanted to uninstall and reinstall, but it won't let you do that.

Same problem here. I went back to Thunderbird Email.
You know for Windows 98, XP, and Vista I suckered myself into getting them right when they came out and not one went the 1st few months without a hitch but as with 98 and XP after they got them together what a nice OS for the time. Can't say that about Vista but Windows 7 was about the best right off the bat because it was basically what Vista should have been. So having said that...I guess I will be a Guinea Pig for a few months. This OS does look Promising unlike Windows ME and Windows 8 which I had the "unfortunate" opportunity to have to help someone with. :)

Similar problem Mail wont hold my email account passwords so I cant run it. Gmail account setup was fine. Google is taking over the world. I have reverted to DreamMail and no problems.

I upgraded my Win7 Prof to Windows 10 on 30th. All other applications, including my O365 account worked fine till 4th of August, & after that it has started giving tantrums. Though new mails are coming in inbuilt Mail App, but not able to reply/fwd. It just hangs when reply button is selected.
Initially I was happy that, I don't need to use Outlook client, but now have to revert to Outlook client. Not sure when stable version would come.
