Its my laptop which is listed under my second system in the specs. It seems like it wants to run on the Intel HD Graphics even though Im telling it to run on the Quadro. Ive used the context menu entry to tell it to run on the Quadro, and the settings in the NVIDIA control panel as well. I dont know of anything else I can do to make it run on the discrete card. I know games like COD: MW3 and Black Ops II run with no issue at max settings, but yet I get such a low score in this.
Try disabling the integrated graphics adapter in the device manager.
I tried that, but then it wouldnt run at all. It errored out, with an error that looked like it was pointing to an issue within the code. Tried opening the NVIDIA settings, but threw and error about no displays being connected to the card. I think there is a weird issue going on here.
I think thats it. PassMark wont run its DX12 test on it either. I dont think this Quadro is set up to run DX12 so that would be the issue.
Disregard that. I was wrong. According to NVIDIAs website, the K2100M does indeed support DX12 up to API level 11. So the whole thing may not be supported, and the 3DMark Time Spy and PassMark DX12 tests may use API beyond level 11. The Sky Diver Test which is DX11 gets me a score (just ran it again) of around 7000. So not really great, but not horrible either.
Hmm...not sure then. Just odd that it won't run at all.
Our memory is similar:
Not that Cliff's score is bad. It isn't. I was focused on that because his hardware is almost identical to mine, except for make of MB, case (air flow) and cooling. We are also using the same Nvidia drivers.
My simple logic would have given him a higher score than mine, other than throttling/cooling.
I ran Time Spy again. This time I used a curve on the GPU OC. The highest curve I could achieve without crashing was giving me about the same graphic score as before. This run (curve) gave me a 2101 core clock but I've seen that with an offset. So I increased the GPU memory from 500 to 550, as Vellinious mentioned to Cliff. That increased my graphic score to 8303.
But in these runs with the exact same CPU OC as I had before, my CPU score is down, now 29 points below Cliff's 4.9 OC. That makes sense to me, but why my CPU score went down doesn't. .
I think I will give up trying to figure it out.
Dude; new Time Spy score 7790.
