I accidently deleted a file from OneDrive so I mounted my Reflect backup as a virtual drive and get the error below when trying to recover the file. I can recover any other file but not those originally under folder f:\users\steve\onedrive\documents (f: is the mounted Reflect image). Any ideas? I did recover the file from a simple folder copy I had made.
I can't help with the Reflect question, but did you check your Onedrive recycle bin on the web interface to see if you could restore the file (it saved me earlier today).
I just had to make sure; there are so many multipage threads of these sites that could have been solved by something really simple early on
From the error message, it would appear that what was in the one drive folder (and thus the reflect image) was merely a link to the file in the cloud. The main reason I don’t like cloudy services - I want to be sure where the actual files reside.
you could have a look and see if the file is any of your shadowcopies.
you can examine your shadowcopies and copy out anything you want using nirsofers excellent shadowcopyview which is a tiny portable.

or if you prefer you can create links to your shadow copies and look at them that way
this simple batch file will create the links for you. Can then look through the links and copy out anything you want .

It appears you dont have any shadow copies unfortunately. They are only useful if you have them.
