Windows 10 ( new build) won't let me make a recovery USB.

Windows 10 Version 1909 (os build 18363. 1316) This is a home built computer. The only things brought over from the old one was a manual data transfer of photos and documents, no programs.
I can’t get Windows to make a back up USB drive. I though maybe my flash drive was bad, so I bought a new one and it does the same thing.
I ran “SFC /scannow” and no files changed, no problems found.
I did “reagentc /info” Win RE status: “enabled”
    I went into the registry:

    Computer/HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current control set\control\session manager
I opened “boot execute” and “autocheck autochk *” was in there as I read it was supposed to be for this problem.
When I try to make a Recovery USB (32 Gb capacity) it formats, but stops and says:
“We can’t create the recovery drive”
“A problem occurred while creating the recovery drive” Ideas?
    Thanks in advance

    Specs:
    Windows 10 Version 1909 (os build 18363. 1316) Motherboard: ASUS Prime x570-P

    I also tried it on a 64gb.

    Files are:
    EFI
    Sources
    Reagent

    1.61 Gb used, 28.2 free.

I did method 1, looking at the others.

EDIT... I'm on method 2. So I'll work with these and get back to here soon.

    Wasn't that Windows feature deprecated?
See if you can use Macrium or Acronis.

Macron has never worked for me. I have AOMEI backupper. And they have one I’m still trying to figure out.

i don’t think windows would delete it and give an error message.

BTW, method 2 didn’t work top box re checked itself when I hit apply.

Hmm, Macron is the French PM, isn't he? Would be strange if he did work for you...

Create Recovery Drive in Windows 10
    - no sign of it having been deprecated, but yes, disk imaging is preferable.

Macrium R & Aomei- did your problem occur when creating the image?

Have you checked your disk recently?
E.g. Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) SSDs too...
    Then if ok
    chkdsk c: /scan
    from an admin command prompt

I have no problems, I just want to make a recovery usb and Windows won't let me and I seem two one of the few with the problem.

Macrium never worked for me, not to say it won't this time.

    But I already own AOMEI.

Later or tomorrow I will try steps 3 on as suggested above.

As you give no clues about 'never worked' which may or may not be an indicator as to your present issue, I can't help further. I wish you good luck with this unsupported feature.

Making a recovery USB is supported by Microsoft.

Regarding Macrium, I tried it in the past and it failed me. I have no doubt it is a great program because lots of people use it and are happy as clams.

Regarding my issue, I am working with Microsoft tech support and will report back the solution.

I may just fold give up and make one on another computer, but that’s no fun!
