Why can't I access my Windows 8 personal folder from Windows 10 ?
Hiyas, I'm aware that I more times changed ownership of my Windows 8 profile folder (incl. subtree). Currently it's set to (Windows 8)SYSTEM. By looking at other account profile folders I suppose it's right and access rights should be set to profile user (full control), Administrtators group (full control) and SYSTEM (full as well).
Out from Windows 8.1 I look at my profile folder security attributes, it shows permissions for me (full) and SYSTEM (full). Everything looks normal until I boot to Windows 10, my profile folder is not accessible, security dialog says owner neither permissions can't be viewed. Setting the owner to SYSTEM from out of Windows 10 fails (access denied) but I can set the owner to my W10 account (same name and password). The problem is that I can't then login in Windows 8 to my profile (profile folder can't see the owner).
How do I normalize or reset my profilefolder rights so that it can be accessed from both Windows 8 and 10 just like any other folder on Windows 8 drive? (It seems that all other folders can view onership and permissions from both systems as well as I can see/access Windows 10 profile older out of Windows 8).
