...there is ALSO a new RELEASE build of the "stable" version 1.08.
    It is MBAE Consumer 1.08.1.2572.
It is available via the auto-updater, as well as at the standard product download page HERE.

It's not yet entirely clear why the developers have ~simultaneously released BOTH a new release build AND a new beta build.
A user inquired yesterday at the MBAE Support forum HERE. Alas, there is -- as of the moment -- no response.

Users unaccustomed to and unprepared for dealing with the potential stability/performance issues of beta software probably ought to stick with version 1.08.1.2572, even though (as of the moment, there are no release notes for the new "stable" build).

To be honest, I'm not sure what is going on at Malwarebytes HQ.
It is thus far unprecedented for them to ship at the same time both a new "release" build AND a new "beta" build.

    Clear as mud?

Having issues with MBAE on a fresh install of W10 Anniversary edition. The service fails to start. Other users have reported it at the MB forum. Strangely this program ran perfectly on my Insider builds.

MBAE ran correctly right away after the update on my desktop but my laptop gave the same error. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and got the same error again so I just let it be. Then magically the next day it worked normally and has been fine since.
