I can not do this as the scan offline button is greyed out
Where can I find this option .?
Oh wait up . I found it. No that is also greyed out. I cannot use windows defender . When I try to turn on it tells me this app. Is turned off by group policy!
That's not good. When you ran Malwarebytes, did you do a custom scan and check the box for rootkits?
Here's another offline (bootable) one you could try:
Using the Sophos Bootable Anti-Virus (SBAV) tool on an infected computer - Sophos Community
Both items you list as found threats show in the Sophos database as recoverable.
Once back in the operating system, run this:
Malware Clean Up Tool | Breach Remediation with Sophos Clean
Also, if you have a restore point in your system from before the infection, that would be another option.
No I did not do a custom scan . Will do it now then try the sophos tool ---- will get back to you once its complete , cheers
Just ran the custom scan and no threats with malwarebytes !!!
I just created the iso . Now running it .
Which option do I choose --- $ophos rec. Scan or sophos advanced scan ?
Do i need to run the option.......Rename infected files ?
