    the trick should be to have the avira service working and not stopped..but how..??..
    where is the tecnical forum of avira to have an help..??..
    have you a link..??..
    i really do not want to change my first av..i'm using it since 2003...

    The help available for Avira Free is limited to a Peer forum ( other users only) if you need technical help from Avira they expect you to purchase a licence - which is their decision and is similar to a number of other software providers who offer a fully working free version and Paid for help

    My Avira has been off for the past three days (closed umbrella), after an update broke it. Right clicking -> enable realtime protection did nothing, and more updates did nothing. I fixed it by going to the control panel -> programs and features -> Avira Antivir -> right click -> Change and unchecking Mail Protection in the installer. Turns out this has been happening to a lot of people over the past week, but after doing that the umbrella finally opened.

    but our issue is VERY different:
    we do not have avira icon in systray...
    this is the very avira BUG

    i found the fix finally ,, just rebuild icon cache >>> Icon Cache - Rebuild in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
