Malwarebytes Free Cannot Set To Manual Starts With Windows

Running v. 3.7.1. It is not in startup programs in task manager but it shows up in taskbar at boot. I can quit it from taskbar. Computer was off for a month or so and when I turned it back on and wanted to run Malwarebytes and scan a file I selected the file and opened with Malwarebytes free already on the machine and as had had happened many times before I was offered "another" premium trial which I always accept and then just let it lapse when it expires and it always goes back to trial. Suggestions appreciated. Malwarebytes is currently back to free

It does not show in processes under task manager.

But it does show up in services and I am unable to change it to manual. All options in the program are disabled.

In the next update there is a solution for this bug (currently in beta)
Temp correction: in Malwarebytes preference turn startup switch on and again off
Here it works, let me know if it works at your system.

The installation of Malwarebytes I have done to a variety of equipment, I did not come up against that of the free installation that does not allow the boot start.I notice that you are the administrator of the account so permission is denied. It is appreciated the notification of the second post to warn that it is a compilation error.

Thanks for the suggestion. What I ended up doing was just uninstalling the current application the one that started out as the free version but was then offered another premium trial that reverted back to the trial version and downloaded and installed a fresh copy of Malwarebytes free and that seemed to fix the problem.
