1 x Mobile 500GB 5400RPM drive - storage
i I woulike to ecrypt my downloads folder in the 2Tb storage , or the whole drive while apps can still write and read from this drive...
is it possible?

I will let others who have used BitLocker answer, because I have no idea on how to do that. My wild guess would be that a powershell script will be needed, beyond that, not a clue.
If the drive on which the operating system resides (typically C:) is bitlocker encrypted, then you can set any other drive to "auto unlock". This means that it will automatically unlock, but only on your system. If the drive is moved to another system it will not be accessible without providing a password, recovery key, etc.
Question: Have you considered possibly using EFS (Encrypting File System) on that 2TB drive?
I admit that I don't use EFS extensively, although I just started making limited use of it again a couple of weeks ago. I used to use it pretty extensively years ago and have never had a problem with it.
Most of my machines have a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) and so I make extensive use of Bitlocker on those systems. But I have one old laptop with no TPM so that's where I started using EFS.
Below are two articles that you will likely find helpful. The first tells you how to encrypt selected files and folders with EFS.
VERY IMPORTANT: The 2nd article describes how to backup your EFS certificate. It's very important that you do this. If something happens to the operating and you have to reinstall, you need this certificate in order to be able to access the encrypted files again.

basically i have files on my D: Drive (not the system drive) that i want my TV in the house to access (over wifi) while its turned on...but if the PC got stolen its password protected so thieves are likely to pull the drives and search them...this Is what I dont want...or even if they try to scan the drives using a disc OS (not in windows) that can do so...
my thinking is windows is password protected (+16 digits with tons of entropy), while turned on and logged in all drives are accessible...but when off nothing can be had off the drives

just to add..ive made a 10GB test partition on my 2Tb drive and used Bitlocker on it...works well just need to test it by puttling it out OR seeing if I can browse it from say HIRENS at boot
