Do I, should I reinstall Avast or any other 3rd party anti-virus, malware, etc. I am running Defender, only, and do not know if I will receive warnings, as before of infected sites, or PUPS. It gives for some security, but it is possible for a false security. Nothing, but abstinence is 100%.

Sorry for the delay - I was taken in for repair.

Everything looks good - thanks for posting the screens. Since they report A-O-K I don't need to wade through the log.

    The /Online option:

Specifies that the action is to be taken on the operating system that is currently running.
    .....
When /Online is used the Windows directory for the online image is automatically detected.

I was hoping that it said: this is the default
Since I can only assume that the currently running OS was detected, please run the command again ... with the /Online option.
    Thanks.

Defender is fine for most users. It's really a personal choice or a comfort level.

I've used almost every AV product out there - I change when they bloat and try to do more than AV/malware
Avast and AVG are merging so the underlying engine should be the same at some point.

Most, if not all, 3rd party AV products turn Defender off - check your machine after installing one.
There's also a nifty Defender setting - periodic scans. I haven't used it (new in 1607) ... I think it wakes up every once in a while and sneaks in a scan.

You can use many on-demand scanners ... You only want ONE real-time AV product running

    The choice is yours
