What extra software do I need with Windows 10

How many USB ports on are on the laptop and what is plugged into them.

Lizzy, personally, I've never had real good luck with docking stations, they get finicky. Drivers are not kept up to date, etc. Unless you can find a solution for the docking station you have, you may want to consider a hub. Post that question in the Drivers and Hardware thread Drivers and Hardware - Windows 10 Forums explaining the issue and see what happens. This thread should stay on topic of your space and software issues. OK?

Just so you know, I'm sorry, but I will not be available tomorrow. So, if you like, I would recommend running ADWCleaner and MBAM Free with Rootkit checked, and a full scan on drive C. Depending on what they find, and how the browsers are running, it may require JRT as well. TC, you can handle that without me, yes? I'm sorry but I have a previous engagement which I can not re-schedule.

ADWCleaner will leave a log file at C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner.txt (please post)


The instructions for MBAM show the free trial enabled (you don't need that), and it doesn't show selecting a custom scan, checking the Rootkit box, and selecting the OS drive., So here are some screenshots:









It's up to you if you want to include the Touro drive in the scan as well. Personally, I would, but the scan will take a long time, so find something else to do in the meanwhile.







Please post this log as well.

If things are found in the browsers, then I would also run JRT (it's quick). I would not do anything else in that link I posted, as I don't think it will be necessary.

You're not barging, simrick! We were about to call you anyhow! Got her backup verified and the definition fixed and a few other odds and ends. Told her you wanted to run some scans/diags. What you're looking at right now can certainly be a part of that! She has to go now, but will be back sometime tomorrow...she's +6hrs.
