    Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool

It was working months ago now I tried to use it and it says it's blocked by system admin. WTF!

How do I either get it working again or just remove the darn thing, thanks

    Hello, :)

You might see if installing the new Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) 5.49 released June 13, 2017 may help.

I click on it and it wouldn't even open. Ran a sfc scan showed up nothing, did a ransomware scan nothing came up.

Software restriction policies are stored in the registry keys below. You might check to see if it may be listed in either. If so, delete it and restart the PC to apply.

How Software Restriction Policies Work: Group Policy

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Safer

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows

There isn't nothing listed under those

If you know when this may have started, you could try doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this happened.

Run this as admin in CMD:
    Code:
    reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\DisallowRun" /f
