Another thing to watch out for: a download site will tell you that you need to install their free installer in order to install your download. You need to stop right there and get off that site.

PS. Edge is the fastest-growing browser in the world, but with less than 5% of the market, it is only number 4.

PS first 3 are probably Chrome, Firefox and Opera or IE.

Chrome was number 2 at the end of March, but I predict that it will have passed Explorer by the end of April. Opera is near the bottom of the list.

I suspect not for long, with the new free VPN feature they're introducing.

Now that got my attention. I'm using Opera right now. I don't see myself trying this on this laptop just yet, but maybe I'll play with it a bit on my netbook. :)

Personally I use Panda free AV on Win 10. I used to use Avast free version but seems a bit of a hog on booting. http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/deta...antivirus.html

Combined with Windows Firewall and Malwarebytes Pro that's all I use. As a 'Cloud' AV it works very well. Nice bit is if you connect an external drive you get a pop-up offering to scan it. Worth a look anyway.
