I tried Malwarebytes and it seems like a good program, it found problems that Defender did not find. However a program that does not uninstall fully and leaves things running, is not on my list of favourites.

I tried MBAM on my Build 10240 system and it ran A-OK. But I used AutorunS to disable the 3 started tasks it creates. I prefer to run anti-malware software only when I choose, not all the time.

I have a Mbam lifetime license but when i upgraded to Win 10 it says it's no good anymore , all i did was upgrade from 7 and it's still the same computer . Bummer

Did you try to re-enter your license number's ?

Look on the MBAM forum's, I'm sure you're not the only one with this.
Lifetime license's never expire.
