I have this running in 10TP. If you want to run Avast as just a standalone scanner, turn off all 3 resident shields and ignore the ominous red banner when you fire it up. When installed, it will turn off Windows Defender. After disabling the 3 resident shields in Avast, go into control panel/system and security/security and maintenance and turn Defender back on. Do not use settings app to do this, the option is not there, use old control panel. Clear your notifications to get rid of warnings about no protection.

I use Avast Internet Security on all computers Windows 7, W 8.1, W 10, I turn off windows defender and Windows firewall works fine on Windows 10 so far. This suite is not a system hog like a lot off the others.

I tried The new AIS and it did not work to well on 10049. I could not turn the firewall on and got all kinds of errors from 10.

Could not wait for this to become available for this OS - I too have it installed on 10061 and is functioning very well.
