Widows Defender doesn't slow down the system and for a careful user it's sufficient, I have tried other AVs but they all seem to slow down the system.

Well on my system Malwarebytes and Windows Defender coexist without any problems. If Malwarebytes really deactivates Defender on your sytem can't you manually reactivate it? I highly doubt that reunning Malwarebytes plus Windows Defender simultaneously is a feature of WMWare or generally of virtualization.
I'm running Malwarebytes and Defender without any problems. I dual boot Windows 8.1 on a SSD and Windows 10 on a HDD.
Is anyone else using Malwarebytes with Defender, any problems?
I use Avast Internet Security and it does not slow my system down. That is all I use but about evert 2 months I will install MBAM and run a scan.
Here:
Rig 1) Win10 TP 9926 --> Malwarebytes + Defender :)
Rig 2) Win10 TP 9926 --> AVG IS 2015 (Defender disabled) :)
