windows 10 is attacking everything i download

I bought a new HP 15 AF131DX Laptop with windows 10. it came with Mcafee virus protection that i have UNINSTALLED! cause its terrible.
I am trying to download a game from the nexonlauncher and i realized it'll download only for 3 seconds and then drop to 0.00mbps downloading. then my internet cuts off until i end the process and reconnect to internet manually.
on the side of that, and many attempts to fix it, i figured i'd download kaspersky since it's what i normally used, and windows cut internet when i ran the .exe file.
So to get things straight, it lets me download the .exe files but when installing the program, it cuts off internet and wont let me update or use downloader programs (like i'd be able to run steam, but not download a game from it cause it'll cut my internet)
Please help! It may or may not even be the security but it's my best guess. i mean, what in the world would think kaspersky updater is a threat and cut my internet?

    Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Sounds like part of it is due to the server site itself you are downloading it from and maybe issues caused by your Internet Service Provider for downloading issues. Also be a Firewall or Anti-Virus, assume with nothing on it except Windows Firewall and Windows Defender now.
Using any Torrent downloader , download manager and does this happen with all browsers ? How is the internet regularly on just browsing ?

    All kinds

How did you uninstall McAfee ? Normal uninstall doesn't take everything off, there's special tool for that: Download McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool - MajorGeeks Most other AVs have tools like that.

on Mike's post! McAfee is horrid, and buries itself way down deep in registry and your appdata. Since it looks like you've got a fairly new machine (pre-installed 10), if you do all this and still have problems, it may be clean install time.
