    New Windows 10 Scam Call

    Happy Thanksgiving ,
There has been a new scam call going around claiming to be a Windows 10 technician. I understand these calls have been going around for about 3 years, but this new one uses the caller-id name on your phone and they ask for that person. E.g "Hello, this is Microsoft, is Joe Smith home?" If you fall into the clap trap, reset your system, by downloading the Windows 10 ISO (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwt...ew?usp=sharing) and mount it. Run setup.exe when the installer prompts what to keep, click change settings, and choose nothing. Once back on the desktop, download Malwarebytes and run full scan, just to be safe.

Of course, be sure all your data is backed up, and you have all your keycodes and install media for your paid software ready, so you can reinstall. But first, change all your passwords from a clean computer.
