    Publisher MediaTek Blocked?

I've posted a thread in the Networking section, but this may be better classified as a security issue ...

Using the tutorial Unblock File in Windows 10 didn't work.

    Simrick suggested http://www.technicalnotes.org/fix-th...in-windows-10/

From this suggestion I found a workaround of running the driver setup from CMD, which worked, but I'm still left with a blocked file. See certificate details below ...Publisher MediaTek Blocked?-mediatek-blocked-cert.png

Any ideas how to fix this?

Sorry, I'm not very good with certificates, but it looks to me like MediaTek let their certificate expire? Nope, just saw the 2017 date....it's been revoked, not sure why.

Maybe you could contact them, and point them to this thread, and ask them why it's been revoked and how to resolve this? Seems to me they have to sort it out with Verisign and Symantec, nothing you can do.

    Contact Locations - MediaTek

Honestly, I don't think I'd even want to try and figure out how to bypass a revoked certificate on my system....(although we just did it basically for you - to get the thing installed...)

No reply from MediaTek, and I've now tried another file from them and another PC.

Is there a way to extract the files from the EXE?

7-zip might be able to do that.
