    ZoneAlarm Firewall not working

I tried on several occasions to install zonealarm firewall and got this compatibility blablabla. is anyone using it? What's the standalone firewall program that you'd recommend?

I got the same thing with Webroot. If any AV works with W10TP it's pure luck and most if not all haven't even looked into trying to get their products to work.

I was onced a ZA user before until I started using cloud storage. ZA prevents me from accessing my NAS from outside my network. So I dumped it and switched to native Windows firewall. It's good that it's doing it's job blocking possible intrusions but it's so user unfriendly. Too difficult to configure for web NAS access.

You might wanna stay with windows firewall while W10 is still in- progress.

I'm using Emsisoft Online Armor a few days and it works ok. I just wanted to try something other than Windows Firewall and this was the first one I tried that ran ok. It's a 30 day Trial but is supposed to be able to switch to a free version at the end of the Trial.

    On Windows 10?
If so, can you try disabling Emisoft and enable Windows Firewall again and see if you did not mess up anything? A lot of people here would be interested to know if you didn't break anything.
You see, it's not just a matter of having successfully installed a software with Win 10. It's a matter of "What happens next?" :)

Actually, the problem is more with AV (Windows Defender) and not with firewall. So, it may work fine.

If you did mess up anything, you can always restore default in windows firewall.

I posted that issue in a W10TP forum where it was suggested to post in another TechNet forum. It was suggest to try renaming the installer. Bingo, no PCA!!!
