    Has anyone tried Anti-Beacon from Safer Networking?


    I just came across this application from Safer Networking, the makers of SpyBot.
    Has anyone tried it yet?

    I have used it. It blocks all "telemetry" MS servers via making entries in your hosts file.

spybot anti-beacon blocks W10 update?

I decided to try "Spybot anti-beacon for Windows 10" http://www.thewindowsclub.com/spybot-anti-beacon-for-windows-10 which apparently prevents telemetry from Windows 10 and it seems to do just that. But I think it may also prevent Windows 10...
I can't actually seem to find an answer anywhere looking it up, but when I run Spybot Antibeacon to block windows 10 telemetry stuff, do I need to leave the program up and running or can I close it once run?
