    Notifications repeated antivirus malware

    I keep getting notifications from different antivirus software scam as shown below screenshots and I can’t stop them appearing!
    Have run Malwarebytes Anti-malware Premium and Windows Defender which are the only two security software that I use but the notifications still reappear!

    Hello @scopio

    The issue may have been too new to make the rounds of all the top-tier AV vendors yet. (Detected by ESET)

    VirusTotal

    I recommend opening a case with any of the Internet forums with professionally assisted malware removal services.

    Basically it's user error. You've clicked (or been tricked into clicking) allow notifications on some site that you visited.

    Read through the links, track it down and remove permissions for notifications from that site.

    @Callender Thanks for your input.
    I have removed notifications for the c1029ojxr9zktvr20a.dkeie.co.in/ site and the notifications have stopped.

    I would like to know how to remove c1029ojxr9zktvr20a.dkeie.co.in (vi... from the Get notifications from these apps in Windows settings.

    Assuming this is through Edge seeing as your screenshot says Edge. Type in the URL bar edge://settings/content/all and look for any permissions that looks suss if you find one then research it further or block it.

    Block any suss domains you can do this several ways in your AV in your host file in the browser or firewall. etc.

    Disable browser notifications all together these are grounds for stuff to go wrong if it catchers you off guard.

    consider adding in your browser, it will catch issues like this.

    C:Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Notification\

    Open Regedit and remove the notifications.

    Also to note that notification alerts like this are granted system permissions because they run through the notification side panel so if you click one of those adds it will be a bad day or at least potentially could be a bad day.

    It sounds like an issue with the push notifications feature in Chromium based browsers (which includes MS Edge). Please see if the instructions in this Malwarebytes Labs article help or not.
