How recover file form Defender quarantine

I use windows 20H2 and plugged in a usk drive with portable apps and windows defender deleted one of the files (a key reader & backup) to quarantine.
I've used this stick many times and the file is clean, although I can understands as a key reader why Windows would block it
As I use Malwarebytes never had anything flagged before by Defender.

Under Windows security - Virus and Threat protection it show Malwarebytes. Although the Defender firewall app is installed the Defender A/V app is not, or so I thought.
Are there any suggestions on how to
    a. recover file from quarantine (I may be able to get replacement from elsewhere)
    b. prevent Defender from quarantining this file in the future

Thanks in advance for your help

    Not sure how that helps.
The issue is, there is no links for Defender Quarantine.

    Hello @Hazcrew,

    Are they here? > C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Quarantine

Also, have a look at this => How to Recover Files Deleted by Windows Defender?

    I hope this help.

Under Virus & Threat protection - protection history do you see a list? My Defender is broken and the only way to repair is to do a clean install of Windows 10. This is what shows in Defender for me,

hopefully yours will show a filter tab and a list of blocked items.

Under the quarantine folder there are a couple of folders containing files, but the have very long filenames with no file types i.e. they have been renamed so are not directly recoverable.

The whole point of this post is the he windows defender security panel does not seem to exist on my system.
There are no settings for it as per the image in my earlier post

Thank you very much for your reply.

Look- I'll highlight the text for you:

Can you see the word quarantine now? 'quarantined' occurs 3 times.

    Not sure how that helps.
The issue is, there is no links for Defender Quarantine.
I wonder what were you expecting? A link to click on to solve your problem?

    I said there's a link to exceptions - look - it's on the left.

You seem to have read that as a link to quarantine.

Instructions to restore an item are listed:
    1.
    2.
    3.

In Malwarebytes turn off this setting then you'll see the settings in Defender.

i'm sorry but if you read the original post.
There is no protection history - and no quarantined items list for Defender.
So no amount of links to web pages refering to those will help.

Details are there for Malwarebytes (see the screen dump I originally provided) and if Malwarebytes had quarantined it I could recover it..
However , Malware bytes did not remove it - it was not considered a threat by Malwarebytes.
The notification came up that MS Defender had removed it - even though Defender is not registered as the A/V app and the is no defender control centre.

Thanks Fabler 2 That was the solution
I could access Defender setting and recover file by deregistering MalwareBytes.
