    Anti virus protection

Wonder what anti-virus of choice do the folks on this forum use ? I recently had problem with my os that thanks to Tekkie Boy and others helped me to get fixed. Great bunch of folks here! Since it has been repaired and working great,I have been using Windows Defender as my AV and firewall. I have a paid version of Panda Dome and was thinking about reinstalling it. I just don't want to put what you folks here fixed to waste. Don't want it to mess up my windows update etc. So....just asking what you folks use.

Panda Dome Free actually, but I rely on OS mostly (Quad9 DNS, disabled WSH, removed PowerShell).

I avoided Defender for years but it's got much better recently so when I got a new computer I left Defender running and it's been okay except that I prefer to configure it using:

    (Review)

Windows Defender configuration tool ConfigureDefender 3.0.0.0 released - gHacks Tech News

Then alongside Defender have always running WiseVector StopX. Currently free.

    WiseVector StopX Features

Then i have a few other third party run on demand utilites for additional scans and some malware blocking browser extensions and malware blocking DNS. Plus a realtime executable file monitor that warns me anytime that an exectable file (any type) is added to monitored directories with a manual option to quarantine.

Also a real time registry changes monitor with backup and logging.
