Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 or 2016?

Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 2016 does not appear on the Kaspersky UK page yet.

Can KIS 2015 be used in Windows 10 and is it reliable pending UK support for KIS 2016?

I was using KAV 2015 (latest patch C) with no problems before updating to 2016. KIS should be the same. Make sure it's the lastest KIS 2015 for Win 10 compatibility.

Kaspersky recommends 2016. Check the above links.

Obviously 2016 is the best option, but the OP apparently cannot get it at the moment, so 2015 last release will work until he's able to get 2016.

I'm in the UK too. after a clean Windows install I downloaded 2016 (which is patch a already) from here.
I have had no issues whatsoever, games launch quicker, after cache is built than they do with Defender, I hated Kaspersky for years for being heavy but version 2015 on 8.1 and 2016 in 10 are lightening fast.
    Just use you old code.

Kaspersky 2015 is better . The 2016 version is absolutely horrendous with windows 10. Despite it being downloadable from usa.kaspersky.com it is essentially an unfinished product. It has limitations in crucial modules like self defense so its protection is like an antivirus from a decade ago (hell...its even worse than avast in this version).

There is an update coming in september this year which will fix these compatibility limitation s in 2016 version.

Kaspersky itself recommends the 2016 over the 2015 Patch C. Where did you get this information from? Any specifics as to what is not working?

I found the following in the KAV 2016 manual posted in the Kaspersky site, there currently is no KIS 2016 manual:

Kaspersky Anti-Virus limitations under Microsoft Windows 10
The following functionality is partly limited in the application installed on the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system:

 Self-Defense. Self-Defense of the application GUI does not work even when it is enabled.
     System Watcher.
 Protection against cryptors and screen lockers. The application can detect only the most basic varieties of
    cryptors and screen lockers.
 Malware disinfection in the system memory.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus limitations under Microsoft Windows 10 with the Device Guard mode enabled:
Operation of the following functionality is also partly limited:
 Rootkit search and disinfection (postponed disinfection of files after computer restart; detection of malware that
creates autorun keys in the registry).
 Heuristic Analysis (emulation of the startup of suspicious applications).

WOW that a lot of limitations!!. Thanks for the heads up. Just went looking for the guide Think this is for KIS2016 information found on pages 112 and 113
    http://docs.kaspersky-labs.com/engli...erguide_en.pdf

I cant believe it has so much protection missing and/or not as yet working. Also can't believe nobody from Kaspersky thought to bring it to the customers attention apart from the last few pages of the guide just before the glossary.

I bet most users don't know this information! Kaspersky need to act fast as unlike normal windows upgrades which can have a slower take up by customers. But with Microsoft making this a free upgrade for win 7 and win 8 computers lot of people will be either thinking about or using windows 10 now.

Well this might hold me off the upgrade to windows 10. How can it be called compatible with windows 10 but have lots of protection stripped out

I have used KIS for years and really like the programme (just bought another licence last week)
Not sure if this is a problem for just KIS or other anti-virus from other manufactures with the newness of windows 10 ????
I have read on another forum that if you use KIS 2015 it would have the limitations as well but I have not tried.

    Full KIS limitations list

Thanks for posting the limitations, tron.

Props to Kaspersky for being upfront and not trying to mask the issues.
